Kathy Pennington
2018 Officers of the Congregation:
Pastor Kathy was born and raised in Westminster, MD. She graduated from Penn State University in 2001 with a B.S. degree in Microbiology and a minor in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Following college she enrolled at Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree in 2006. Her first call was at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Moorhead, MN where she served as associate pastor for nearly four years. Pastor Kathy began her call with us in June 2010.
Pastor Kathy and her husband, Dan, married in 2003. Dan is a pastor Bethany Lutheran in Star Prairie. Her stepson, Zach, lives and works in Baltimore, MD. Pastor Kathy and Dan also have a golden retriever, Martin, who serves as East Immanuel’s official greeter. In her free time Pastor Kathy enjoys hiking, cooking, reading, and watching a good movie.
